The invitation isn't actually an invitation... it's a nomination. Sounds like Goog does a little background check before actually handing out an acct.

Re: Sudoku anyone?

How long does it takes till I get invite?

Re: Sudoku anyone?

Thank you very much! :)

Re: Sudoku anyone?

Intermittent? That's a stretch from what I've seen. Anyway, we already knew it would be buggy.

Re: Sudoku anyone?

My understanding is that the intermittent-at-best ability to create public waves is a bug that needs to be fixed.

John E. It is a bit busy, but there's a lot happening, more so than with search. It will evolve over time, and the API developers will add different takes on the UI, which should be helpful. I need to put some time into learning how to use it, e.g. why can't I create a public Wave? I followed the instructions and tried different browsers. Weird.

Re: Sudoku anyone?

I'm still getting used to the idea (which I first saw in Google Voice) that a green bar on the left indicates an unread item. It's interesting that Google Search is a very clean interface, but Google Wave has all these little bits all over the place.

John E. I need to go over the how-to videos, which doesn't usually bode well. I'll post some reactions next week.

Re: Sudoku anyone?

That's all folks... all out.

Re: Sudoku anyone?

invited

Re: Sudoku anyone?

Invited

Re: Sudoku anyone?

One for me maybe? :-)
scomp4ny@gmail.com

I'd be veeery grateful :)

Re: Sudoku anyone?

wrong :P

Re: Sudoku anyone?

Does anyone have any left invite? After reading the Scoble/Gray warnings, I've proceeded relatively slowly in looking at waves - and even then, I found that I've archived half of the waves I've viewed. (Or I've TRIED to archive them; again, this is early stuff.) So far it doesn't appear to be a good vehicle for on-the-fly collaboration; unless I'm using it wrong, it works best when person A wants to collaborate with person B, rather than wanting to collaborate with, say, anyone who's interested in Oracle OpenWorld.

I'm mulling over the advantages of using Google Wave vs. other collaboration methods (e.g. a FriendFeed private group). So far, the two positives that I see are (1) nested conversations, and (2) it's Google (thus tying in with existing Google account, contacts, etc.). Of course, I'm very early in my thoughts, so we'll see how I feel a week from now.

Now I just have to figure out how to reset that Sudoku game...

John E. You nominate someone for invitation, whatever that means. I got my invite from Paul yesterday, so from what I've seen it's pretty quick. Good luck :)

Re: Sudoku anyone?

I've got 4 left.

Re: Sudoku anyone?

That is music to my ears!! :) Thanks so much.
