No iPhone, No Service

More iPhone goodness lately as the cool kids (namely me) get to have a sweet version of Facebook (iphone.facebook.com), which is way better than the generic mobile version, and Meebo (point your iPhone at meebo.com) for chat.

  • I'm also impressed with iphone.facebook.com. I still have to try Meebo though. I have also been using another useful iPhone web application: Skype for iPhone. It's really cool, especially if you are a Skype user.
  • Eddie: This is only the beginning. We'll see more and more iPhone ports for all the "critical" apps we use. I assume you're loving yours too?

    BTW, I'm waiting for you to drop some sweet iPhone+DBA tools on us.

    Humm! iPhone+DBA, you got me thinking now. I'll have to go and study iPhone/Safari development now. In the meantime, I hope that more Oracle DBAs and developers buy iPhones.

    On a separate note, I noticed that the date on the trackback above is "30 November 1999 at 12:00 am". It does not look right to me. I use the Kramer WP plugin on my blog and it looks like we're having the same problem with dates.
  • By OOW, I expect to see some kickass iPhone-DBA apps from you. I assume you're attending OOW, so you can show them off to me in person.


    Re. trackbacks, it looks like only the ones from Technorati (i.e. showing the Technorati icon) have this issue. Dunno why, maybe I'll dig deeper sometime. Maybe it's related to Sifry's departure and the layoffs.

  • My company was recently acquire by Oracle. I work for the Latin America sales dept. I need to upgrade my PDA PHONE SOON. and ORACLE tells me the IPHONE is not compatible with our system.

    Is there any way (or will be in the future) a way to used get my Oracle email on my Iphone besides checking it on the webmail site.??????

    Can I get some info. I dont want a Blackjack or Treo.
