More Mix Fixes

Not many fixes to report this week, but stay tuned because Rich and Anthony are cooking up a big update for next week.     I go back to my comments when Mix launched, about the effort put in by a lot of people to establish relationships in Connect.

    We've had problems promoting Mix in EMEA as people don't want to spend time rebuilding their network. If the networks already existing in Connect, could be transferred to Mix, then I think you would see a pickup in Mix usage.

    @Frank: Mix is a different tool than Connect b/c it's outside the firewall. The relationships you have within Oracle are not necessarily ones you would want to rebuild in Mix and vice versa.

    As an employee, Mix emphasizes relationships you have with customers and partners, not ones you have with other employees.

    Incidentally, we would never get approval to move Connect networks to Mix.

    @Jake: Thanks for that clarification, I will attempt to clearly define the difference between Connect and Mix in my future communications with EMEA employees.

    Any chance of fixing the email validation that keeps me from submitting ideas because I use my Yahoo address instead of my work/Oracle customer address?
