I'm working on that. As for the confirmation issues, are you using your "work" address, i.e. not a yahoo or gmail one? Feel free to mail me with the details: jake dot kuramoto at oracle dot com.

Re: Mix is Live

Hi

I attempted to send the following message to the Mix email address published above, but it bounced. The gist of my email was as follows (apologies for the cut n paste):

Hi Oracle Mix team

Well done on the new site. This has huge amounts of potential.

Regards the email confirmation process, this is currently failing for myself and as such I can't create ideas.

I've registered as Chris Muir, and have received the confirmation email asking me to click on one of the 2 confirm links. However on navigating back to the Oracle Mix website after clicking on either link, then selecting the Confirm button, my profile page still shows the following message:

"We haven't validated your email address yet, or your email is not an Oracle customer email address. Please check your email and confirm your address."

In turn I can't create ideas for the same reason.

Could you please look into this issue? I notice others are lodging the same complaint under the Messages for the Oracle Mix group within the site.

Thanks & regards,

Chris Muir

Re: Mix is Live

Srinivas,

I'll save all the details for another blog post, but basically, the team was comprised of me (Rich) and 4 ruby guys from ThoughtWorks. It was a fabulous team. One guy, Ola, works on jRuby core... so that helped a ton. The actual dev time actually only took about 3.5-4 weeks. The project started 6 weeks ago, but dev was compressed to a shorter time period. Development was done in an agile fashion (ThoughtWorks, defines agile).

Anyway, I'll post more details on this before the week is over.

Rich

Re: Mix is Live

You mention that the site was done in 6 weeks. How many people worked on the project and the composition of the team (including Thoughtworks)? How many hours? What pieces you developed versus what libraries you leveraged? All these bits of information is helpful in determining what it took to get the site up in 6 weeks.

Re: Mix is Live

Steve: Send a note with some more details to oraclemix underscore ww at oracle dot com.

Re: Mix is Live

Mix doesn't work for me. I log in and wherever I try to go it takes me to the profile page. I've tried to complete that but it doesn't save any responses. Doesn't matter what browser I use (I use Firefox but tried IE) or how many times I empty my cache.

Re: Mix is Live

Dan: Lulz, as if I would know about the A-List. You'll want to register with your work/customer email, and then confirm. After that, you're golden. Catch up with me at 21st Amendment this evening, and we'll chat.

Re: Mix is Live

Where do we post technical issues with the mix site itself? I tried to "want" one of the ideas, but I got an error saying "You must have a confirmed Oracle customer email address to perform that action." I don't understand how to get on the A-list...help?
